About MeHello! I'm Mr. Prince, and this is my first year teaching Math at Kennedy Jr. High. I'm excited to be a part of this great school and get to know my new students! I have lived in the Salt Lake area for most of my life and am happy to call it home. I'm coming from teaching 6th grade at Academy Park Elementary just up the road, transferring here as part of the 6th grade realignment. Prior to last year, I taught at Twin Peaks Elementary in Murray. Before teaching full-time, I worked in a variety of roles in education such as classroom aide, substitute, and interpreter, and enjoyed it so much that I soon began pursuing a career in education. I attended Salt Lake Community College, then completed my Bachelor's degree at Utah State University, ultimately returning to teach at the school where I first discovered my love of working with students. I will be teaching exclusively 6th grade math here at Kennedy Jr. High this year.
I have a passion for lifelong learning and love helping instill this passion in students. When I'm not working, I enjoy watching basketball and football, playing basketball, learning new things through podcasts, watching scary or action movies, spending time with my dog, exploring new places, and enjoying the outdoors in the yard or elsewhere. I know this school year will be a wonderful experience and opportunity and that all students can make significant growth. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or need any support. I look forward to working with you! |
